It is important that church leaders be happy in their work, that we “serve the Lord with gladness” (Psalm 100:2). A church experiences love through the happiness of its leaders. Hebrews 13:17, “[Your Leaders] are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account. Let them do this joyfully, and not sadly, for that would be of no advantage to you.”
Indeed, it is a joy to serve First Christian Church and serve our community alongside the FCC family.
When we’re down, many times it’s hard to do what we’re supposed to do. Doing chores, going to work, spending quality time with others is hard when you’re sorrowful.
But look at what God calls us to do with our tears: Psalm 126:5-6
Those who sow in tears
will reap with songs of joy. 6 He who goes out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him.
That “sowing with tears” will produce a harvest of joy. Perseverance creates a better end product because the sorrow itself becomes fertile ground for change.
