Criticism Is Like Chewing Gum

What am I prone to do when I face criticism?  Attack back?  Jesus chose instead to give a clear and confident response.  Instead of stooping to the level of the attackers, he told the truth.  Criticism is like chewing gum–chew on it for a bit to see if there’s any flavor of truth, and then spit it out.  Of course, if there is some truth to it, then that must be dealt with.

Criticism should sometimes be answered, but sarcastic or ridiculing criticism is never owed an answer.  Check out Proverbs 9:7-8!
