Here’s a quick outline from Galatians 1.
Who we are: Helpless and lost (1:4). We need rescuing. Others founders of religions came to teach, not rescue.
What Jesus did: He rescued us. Have gave himself for our sins (1:4). He did not merely buy us a second chance. He did all we needed to do but cannot do.
What the Father did: God accepted the work of Christ on our behalf by raising Him from the dead (1:1) and giving us grace and peace (1:3).
Why God did this: It was all out of God’s grace–not because of anything we did (1:4, 6). That is why the only one who gets “glory for ever and ever” is God alone (1:5).
Salvation from first to last is God’s doing.
