REASON #3: God ignores our worship when we’re focused on the externals.
We may look sincere but God is disinterested in externals but instead focused on our hearts (thoughts, attitudes, motivations).
What if you raise your hands to God, a symbol of dependence, not out of a heightened sense of God’s presence but because the person next to you does and you want to look holy?
What if you kneel to pray but on the inside refuse to bow to what God is convicting you to do?
What about when we casually consume the Bread and Cup?
